The TEAM project (Technologically Enabled Advancements in Dental Medicine) is funded through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), Component C9 – Support for the private sector, research, development and innovation, Investment I8, under contract PNRR-III-C9-2023-I8, CF.80/31.07.2023, number 760235/28.12.2023. The project is implemented by the “Iuliu Hațieganu” University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Cluj-Napoca, in collaboration with international partners, with the overarching goal of advancing research excellence in digital and personalized dentistry.

The project focuses on the development of an integrated digital ecosystem that supports artificial intelligence applications in dental medicine. A central component of this initiative is the TEAM Digital Hub (DentiHub), a secure platform designed for the storage, management, and processing of medical imaging data, including CBCT, radiographs, and 3D scans. The platform also enables the development and validation of AI-based diagnostic tools and supports the integration of digital workflows in clinical practice. Access to the platform is restricted to authorized users, ensuring data security and compliance with ethical standards. Beyond infrastructure development, the project contributes to strengthening research capacity by supporting the training and involvement of early-career researchers, including PhD students and postdoctoral fellows. It also promotes interdisciplinary collaboration and aims to enhance the institution’s participation in European research initiatives.
